Single forever?
Are you a ‘celibate’ for life? So what?
Although we’ve been designed to reproduce and ‘replenish the earth’, believe me, the overpopulated world (it is already anyway) won’t mind if you don’t contribute anymore.
We can be complete and content without a partner just as we can be the same if we’re with one. And we won’t totally be alone; we’ll have our families, our friends.
Are you single by choice? Good for you! There are advantages to being unmarried.
32I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs—how he can please the Lord. 33But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife— 34and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband. 35I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord. – 1 Corinthians 7:32-35
If you’re single by circumstance, because you just haven’t found the right one yet. Good for you too!
1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: - Ecclesiastes 3:1
Don’t be pressured by society or your biological clock. It’s way better to be single for life than to be married miserably for the rest of one’s remaining years. Don’t be coerced into a relationship just because everyone’s telling you ‘you’re getting old.’ It might be true but think of it this way; you’re aging with fewer complications.
And JESUS is with you so yay!
