Super Typhoon Yolanda hits Philippines

Super tyhoon Yolanda made landfall in Tacloban city Philippines last November 8, 2013 claiming thousands of lives and wreaking  havoc in 36 provinces without mercy. As of this writing, many are still missing. Many of the provinces hit by the super typhoon (category 5), with winds up to 312 kph when it struck, still have no electricity.

Although the global response to the catastrophe is overwhelming, many countries responded swiftly with man power, aid, donations and relief goods, the destruction  "Yolanda" has left has made rescue difficult. Roads need to be cleared of debris and be made passable for trucks carrying goods to get through.

The Filipino people are very thankful for the help and support we're getting from different countries. We don't have the man-power or the machinery to cope with a tragedy this massive, we certainly cannot do it without you. So please know that WE ARE GRATEFUL TO ALL OF YOU. GOD BLESS YOUR HEARTS!

As of this writing, I still have to hear from 11 relatives who live in Samar (one of the worst hit by the typhoon). Although news says the town where my uncles and aunts reside didn't get as much beating as the neighboring towns, still we can't have peace until we hear from them.

Again, thank you for all the help and support. This is not yet over. There's still a lot to do.Over a million families are displaced, with no homes. The rebuilding of lives will take a long time yet, the healing even longer but we will rise from this tragedy. We always do. We are a resilient people.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
