Taho

Taho is one of the favorite snacks in the Philippines. It’s made of fresh soft/silken tofu and caramelized brown sugar and vanilla syrup with pearl tapioca. This important comfort food is a well known sweet this part of the world and found all over the country. It’s sold on two aluminum buckets (that keeps them hot) that hang from each end of a yoke. One has the silken tofu and the other, the brown sugar and pearls.

It’s a favorite in my house too and all the kids get a treat when the Taho vendor happens to drop by.
