Faces of courage

They love the camera. The moment I say “Picture!” they are running and ready to pose. You wouldn’t think these kids live in the cemetery (yup, next to the dead people) their families are so poor that they can’t afford to buy their own lots or rent a decent apartment, instead they live in makeshift shanties inside a local cemetery.

Seeing and watching themselves on my mobile phone gives them a  different kind of high. Nothing like the children laughing, they’re so innocent, delicate yet genuine and resilient.

Blessed Joy is one of the youngest we have. She’s only three years old and about 2 feet high.

This photo might as well be the photo of the week. My favorite shot from Sunday school’s picture fun.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
