Sexual abstention and self-esteem
Choosing Sexual abstention until marriage develops self-esteem. No, you don’t become a proud ‘holier than thou’ virgin who looks down on those who’ve lost control BUT rather someone who knows you deserve better, someone willing to wait too and not only use you for self-gratification.
Because you struggle to keep pure (yes it’s not easy) and stay safely away from the baggage of pre-marital sex (like sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancy, forced marriage because of pregnancy, abortion because you’re not ready to have a baby), you know you’re worth waiting for.
FACT:
Studies have shown that those who are or had been engaged in pre-marital sex have a higher incidence of marital dissatisfaction, divorce AND LOW SELF-ESTEEM.
