Heart broken

Just broke up, divorced, dumped, got shoved out of the picture? Are you hurting badly?

Admission is the first step. Do tell that you’re wounded badly. How will you get help if you don’t recognize you’re bleeding to death? It’s ok, everyone’s been there.

Talk it out. Tell someone, tell God, tell a close friend or family, just let it out. Don’t keep it bottled in and stand tall but falling apart inside. Believe me, talking is therapeutic and it helps a great deal.

Grieve for a while. It will take time but you’ll get there. You’ll be able to move on in time. Don’t hurry. Rushing causes slid backs that only delay recovery.

Pray and trust the Lord for healing. There’ll be days when you’d feel fine and then plunge back to depression the next. That’s ok, it’s a process, go through it.

Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

"Jesus Christ loves you and died for you."

While agreeing, I would like to add that these are the steps to take, not only in the situation of "just broke up, divorced, dumped, got shoved out of the picture", but also when in situations of bereavement, lost a job, failing a course at University, accepting that one is has cancer and will soon die, etc.

We need to go through the same steps of letting go that you blogged, and also look to the Lord for hope to the future.

Yes, I agree with you. Good additional points.
Such a helpful steps for someone who feels so down and lonely.

All of us experience this feeling at some point in our life and we should be thankful because we know that God is working in our life. It's just one of His ways to build our character.

Btw, I have tagged you with a Stylish Blogger Award, you can check it out at http://pinoyworkingmom.blogspot.com/2011/02/stylish-blogger-award.html
