Saying goodbye to Kojak

June 9, 2010 - Said farewell to Kojak this afternoon. After an on and off bout with an illness, he finally succumbed.


He survived the first one and we thought he was going to be okay. He was bouncy, barking and playful just the other day. Today he waved his tail last when I called out to him and...died a few minutes after...

I'm sorry for your loss...it's never easy saying goodbye to a trusted animal companion.

Yeah, everyday I pass by that screen door on the porch where he lives and check on him and say good morning. He would just get up and scratch the screen, his ears all stands up and his tail wagging like crazy...yelping...

And now, there's nothing there anymore
