Asawa (Tagalog Lang #05)
Since I’ve been posting about marriage and life partnership here for a few days now, I thought my foreign readers should know the tagalog word for a spouse and here it is.
Unlike in the English language where there’s “husband” for the male spouse and “Wife” for the female other half, in Tagalog, there’s no direct translation for both words “wife” and “husband”, there’s only the Tagalog translation for the word “Spouse”.
WORD
Asawa (a-sa-wa) uh-suh-wuh
USE IN A SENTENCE
T is my asawa.
(T is my husband/wife.)
