Short term love

I know that being single and unattached for a while can be very lonesome, for some even intolerable, and so, some cheat in the game of solitaire by getting involved in relationships that promises so little or nothing at all (like adulterous affairs, involvement with a two-timing jerk etc.)

We get into these affairs just to get by. We fail to realize though that every break up only adds up to the feeling of rejection and loneliness, worsening insecurity. The few weeks of unrealistic happiness has a price of months of misery over every relationship that ends.

And the fact that you honestly know it won’t work out from the start is already a bad sign so why continue? There’s a possibility it’s not even ‘love’ but that you just like the feeling of ‘being in-love’.

You might not agree but “Love” is more than just a feeling, it’s more percent decision and commitment.
