Mother's Day

Dad had me write a poem for mother’s day a few days ago. The “Fathers’ Fellowship” group is planning a surprise for the mothers and wives on Sunday. So here’s my contribution.

“WIFE”

My woman,
My beloved,
My friend,
My wife,
Mother
of my children

My partner,
Significant other
Companion forever
My help, my love
Designed by God,
An undeserved gift from above

I can write a long list of adoring names
You’re all of it
You’re many things
I can recite praises
Day in and out but none will rightly describe
Your worth in my life

So I’ll just make it short
Simple but true
“Thank you”,
For being here
For being with me
For being you
