Uh-Oh, it’s February

Oh no single, unattached people, what are we going to do? Where will we escape to? It’s the ‘Love” month! Let’s face it, we’re doomed.

We have to come up with answers to the questions “What are you doing this “Valentines Day?!” or ‘Who are you going to be with?”, this early. We have to plan ahead of time.

To be quite honest, I wanted to let February pass quietly on Women-ish, make as little noise as I can and tiptoe my way to March but I feel if I don’t start writing again I may never at all. I already had a bad lag last month so another one might do me in for good.

So here I am, trying to compose something that makes sense for my first post for this month and I’ll try to talk heart to heart with you this February, it is, after all the ‘heart’ season.

I’m dedicating all my post for the whole month for all you heart broken single ones out there. Whatever caused your brokenness, know that you’re not alone and I’ll try to offer some cheers here if I can.

With the advent of “Valentines Day” two weeks from now, you can either choose to get busy starting today, travel and hide or just play dead – BANG! Just kidding!

It’ll pass, we’ll be alright.

"Jesus Christ loves you and died for you."

Oh yes, it's that time of the year when we cannot escape the L word. Maybe you'd like to write a guest post for us on how single people can cope with the onslaught of Valentine's? Email me at newchapters@omflit.com. Thanks!

ouch!:)

as i dropped by at a bookstore with my family last Sunday after church service, i saw valentine cards, roses, hearts, etc for the valentine's day and one of my nieces' nannies said, "sana man lang, ate, kahit isang heart man lang o kaya malaking card na ganito (pointing to a VERY BIG card)may magbigay sa akin ng ganito this valentine's day" and i laughed and said, agree...wish ko din...hahaha...and she said "kaya lang ate, wala pa, pangit naman kung ako ang magbibigay sa sarili ko nito"...and i laughed harder.

well, singleness is fun...i have plans this valentine's day and post valentine's day that i could enjoy even without a lover yet...

but if i would have a date or lover that day, that would be very wonderful!:)

if none...JESUS is the greatest valentine date that i could ever have (not being so spiritual but knowing that there's somebody up there who loves me the most and loves me unconditionally mean a lot to me.)

have a wonderful valentine's day, tess! :)
come on, let's be realistic. this day is just a hyped! nothing more than just a commercialism!

I've been married for a decade already and it's good thing that my wife and I don't celebrate it instead we celebrate our love every day.

so to all singles out there, don't be too pressured on this so called "Love Day".

@ Eric
Well, the post is for single, unattached people who have no wife or husband to celebrate love everyday with but I see you point.

If only "Valentine's Day" have not been this much commercialized, it wouldn't be such a big deal.

Just to let you know, I don't really celebrate it either.

thanks for dropping by :)

@MAri,

Yes, it would be nice to have a special someone that day and all other days but who knows huh? That someone might just make it in time :)
